WORKING WITH NORTHERN COMMUNITIES TO STUDY POLAR BEARS
through collaborative research
oPPORTUNITIES
Communities, organizations, and research teams:
We are always excited to partner with new teams to expand the scope of community-led polar bear research and monitoring. We are not currently able to lead additional work, but are available to provide support to groups looking to start projects. Please feel free to reach out!
Graduate students:
There are no openings on our current projects but feel free to reach out with any ideas!
Projects in our research group are developed with and guided by communities so topics could be wide ranging, from polar bear diet to demographics. Graduate students are expected to apply for external funding which will be supplemented by project-specific funding. As a team of graduate students ourselves, we strongly believe in paying the next generation of scientists an appropriate living wage and funding options can be discussed.
